“Term in Taiwan”
works with the Consortium for Study Abroad in Taiwan (CSAT) managed by Fulbright Taiwan. There are English-taught programs of all majors in addition to Chinese language and culture programs in the 22 consortium participating universities, including the renowned National Taiwan University, National Chengchi University, and National Cheng Kung University.

Taiwan is especially strong in East Asian Arts, Languages and Literatures, History, Asian Politics, Sociology and International Studies, Austronesian Studies, and Marine Biology. There are also non-profit, business, and science lab internships as well as teaching practicums supervised by English speaking faculty.

CSAT will help matching students with a specific university (listed below) and location that best meet their academic requirements, professional goals, and personal preferences.

The program is open to all St. Olaf students with an interest in Taiwan and to students who have no prior Chinese language background yet want to take beginning Mandarin classes, as well as those who have had Chinese language skills.
