Program Description:
Program Overview
The University of Oslo, located in the bustling capital of Norway, is a large institution with an total enrollment of around 27,000, and it is the oldest Norwegian university. A variety of programs are available in English, so both Norwegian and non-Norwegian speakers are encouraged to apply.
Academics
Students can take courses in a variety of subject areas. While Norwegian language courses are available to students, they are not required. To browse course offerings taught in English, click here. Students who qualify to take courses taught in Norwegian can browse the course list here. Courses are generally lecture-based. Students studying off-campus in the fall can bring up to 4.5 credits back to campus; students studying off-campus in the spring with interim can bring up to 5.5 credits back to campus.
Courses coded 1xxx, 2xxx and 3xxx are 1-3 year bachelor’s courses. Courses coded with 4xxx are master’s level courses.
All foundational courses are open for incoming exchange students, courses with requirements of previous studies are open if the student can provide evidence of previous studies in the field.
Student Life
